Vision
The vision of the SivasUST International Relations Office is to elevate the university's academic strength in science, engineering, and technology through global partnerships, establishing SivasUST as an internationally recognized, sought-after, and respected institution of higher education. We aim to reinforce our specialized identity in optics and our strategic focus on agriculture and defense industry technologies through international collaboration, ensuring that our students and academic staff become active participants in global knowledge networks.
Mission
The mission of the International Relations Office is to contribute to the development of globally minded, competitive, and innovative individuals by providing our students, academic staff, and administrative personnel with opportunities for international mobility, joint research, and intercultural engagement. In this regard, our mission is to:
Establish and develop academic and scientific collaborations with universities, research centers, and industry partners abroad,
Increase student and staff mobility through Erasmus+ and similar exchange programs,
Enrich the cultural diversity of campus life by strengthening our capacity to attract international students and faculty,
Institutionalize academic cooperation by supporting joint research projects, double-degree, and joint-degree programs,
Enhance the international visibility of SivasUST's areas of expertise (optics, advanced materials, agricultural technologies, engineering sciences, etc.) on global platforms.
Internationalization Policy
Strategic Partnerships
The university establishes strategic partnerships based on mutual benefit with leading foreign higher education institutions and research organizations. In this context, bilateral agreements, joint R&D projects (Horizon Europe, TÜBİTAK-supported international programs, etc.), and academic exchange protocols are developed with universities across Europe, Asia, and other regions.
Mobility
Outbound and inbound mobility of students, faculty, and administrative staff is supported through Erasmus+ and other national and international exchange programs, with the goal of expanding these programs to cover all academic units.
Attracting International Students and Academics
Promotional activities, English-medium academic infrastructure, and orientation programs are developed to attract international students and faculty members to the university.
Joint Research and Knowledge Production
International joint research projects are encouraged, and scientific publication collaborations are supported in the university's areas of strength (optics, photonics, advanced materials, agricultural technologies, and engineering fields related to the defense industry).
Institutional Capacity Building
The International Relations Office continuously develops its institutional capacity through staff training, participation in international fairs and conferences, and manages internationalization processes in a transparent, traceable, and sustainable manner.
Cultural Diversity and Inclusiveness
The integration of students and academics from different countries into campus life is supported, and a multicultural academic environment is embraced as one of the university's core values.
